Bible Overview

Sunday afternoons 4.45-6.00pm, in Newton Hall Community Centre

We know it's a great blessing that God has revealed himself to us in his word the Bible, and that it contains all that we need to make us wise for salvation and to equip us for the life of faith. We also know that the Bible is a big book it's hard to get to grips with! The purpose of our Bible Overview is to help us to know God better through his word, as we spend time working through the unfolding story of the Bible, growing our familiarity with it, learning more about how if fits together, and developing skills to help us understand what God is saying better.

Sessions are interactive. They require about half an hour of preparation beforehand (to read the passage for the week), but you don't need to have a deep understanding of the Bible already. They take place on the following Sundays through the year:

5th, 12th, 19th October
16th, 23rd, 30th November
11th, 25th January
1st, 8th, 15th February
8th, 22nd, 29th March
19th April
10th, 17th May
7th, 21st June
5th July
