Children & Youth
At Grace Church we desire that all children have the chance to hear about Jesus and the opportunity to put their trust in him. To that end we offer a variety of activities.
Sunday Morning
Every Sunday we begin with all ages gathered together in our church service. Once a month we have an all age service, where everyone stays together throughout. On other Sundays, we run the following groups, with children and young people heading out of the service roughly 15-20 minutes after it starts.
Creche (0-3 years) | A well-equipped creche for children under 3, with a Bible story for the older children. Those bringing children are encouraged to drop them off at creche at the same time as the other children leave the service for their groups. |
Sparks (3-Year 1) | The Sparks have the chance to play, sing and hear a story about Jesus in a way that helps them learn about God and have fun together. |
Ignite (Year 2 to Year 5)
| In Ignite the children enjoy age appropriate teaching from the Bible with a chance to pray, alongside games, activities and crafts. |
Blaze (Year 6+)
| Blaze is an opportunity for young people to begin to make the bridge from children's church into full participation in our Sunday service. There's a Bible study, with chance to discuss and pray, and once a month they remain in the service, with a handout provided to help them get the most out of the sermon. |
Junior Jivers
Junior Jivers is a group for pre-schoolers and their carers. It takes place every Thursday morning in term time, from 10-11am in Newton Hall Community Centre. Head to the Junior Jivers page for more information.
Safeguarding
We take issues of child protection very seriously at Grace Church. All our clubs and activities are overseen by people who have received safeguarding training and been DBS checked. Head to our dedicated safeguarding page for details of our policy and contacts for our safeguarding team.
